It may seem like a lot of hours to fill, but luckily the Greenbelt’s got plenty to keep the whole gang occupied - from Maple Syrup Festivals, to March Break Camps and scenic hikes.

Enroll Your Kids in a Nature Camp

Want to see your kid spend some time in the great outdoors this March Break? Why not sign them up for these nature-focused day camps? Day and weekly options are available.

Peterborough - Camp Kawartha March Break Camp. A camp all about engaging kids in the outdoor experience.

Durham Region - March Break Camp at the Claremont Field Centre in Goodwood. Each camp day has a different theme, all with the intended goal of getting kids through hikes, games and activities.

Toronto - Humber Arboretum Nature Camp or Toronto Botanical Garden March Break Nature Camp. Camps are designed to foster a lasting appreciation for the natural environment.

Hamilton - Royal Botanical Garden’s Discovery Day Camps. The Discovery Camps provide hands-on, environmental-based programs through hikes, games, crafts, activities and daily exploration.

Niagara Region - March Break Camp at Ball’s Falls in Welland. Campers at the Ball’s Falls March Day Camp get to solve “eco-mysteries”, tap trees for maple syrup, visits different animal habitats and more!

York Region - Maple Syrup Festival at Brooks Farms in Mount Albert or Farm Maple Syrup Festival at Horton Tree Farm in Souffville.

Peel - Dufferin - Maple Syrup Festival at Island Lake Conservation Area in Orangeville or Maple Syrup Festival at Kortright Centre for Conservation in Woodbridge.

Halton Region - Maple Syrup Festival at Terra Cotta Conservation Area in Halton Hills or Maple Town at Mountsberg Conservation Area in Campbellvile.

Hamilton - Maple Syrup Festival at Westfield Heritage Center.

Durham Forest - At over 596 hectares and situated at the top of the Oak Ridges Moraine you can hike, ski, and explore to your hearts content.

York Region Forest - The York Region forest is 2,300 hectares of protected land and home to 100 kilometres of trails - explore it soon.

Credit Valley Conservation - With 11 Conservation Areas, there are tons of outdoor activity offerings waiting for you.

Conservation Halton - Want to share a breathtaking view with your kids? Take a hike up Mount Nemo to get an unmatched panoramic view of forests, rolling hills and even Toronto’s CN Tower.

Niagara Peninsula Conservation - The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority website lists recreational activities and breathtaking sights at its 30 Conservation Areas, from the scenic beauty of Twenty Valley to the operating flour mill at the Ball’s Falls conversation area.
