Celebrate Ontario Craft Cider Week 2016!

May 18, 2016
Celebrate Craft Cider Week

May 27 to June 4 is Ontario Craft Cider Week!

Hosted by the Ontario Craft Cider Association–whose members use only Ontario apples and pears–the week celebrates Ontario’s burgeoning craft cider industry.

It’s a great excuse (not that you need one) to try one of over 50 ciders from Ontario’s 20 craft cider producers. The emargance of these 20 world class craft cideries is in part due to Ontario’s ideal apple growing conditions, it’s protected Greenbelt, and a growing consumer appetite for deliciously crisp ciders.

Cider is also the fastest growing segment of alcohol in Ontario at the LCBO. Let’s make sure to keep this trend local! Supporting local craft cider producers means that not only do we get to enjoy delicious cider, but we are supporting businesses that employ over 200 people, and that is predicted to generate over $35 million in sales by 2018.
