September is the time for apple picking in Ontario’s Greenbelt! Start your local food adventures by visiting a farm where you can pick your own apples or buy ready picked apples. The Greenbelt accounts for 11% of Ontario’s apple production - there are plenty of farms to choose from.
If you celebrate Rosh Hashanah, what better way to ring in the New Year than with local sweet apples (and local honey).
To make it easy for you to find a farm in Ontario’s Greenbelt we have selected apple farms in 8 regions - find the farm that is closest to you and don’t forget to share your adventure on Twitter by tweeting @OnGreenbelt or using #ONGreenbelt.
