June 10 to 19 is Ontario Craft Beer Week in 2016! It’s time to raise a glass to our favourite brew masters.
Hosted by the Ontario Craft Brewers, this week celebrates the locally based craft beer industry in Ontario - which has an estimated broader economic impact to be well over $400 million annually in 2012.
This year, there are 25 craft brewers participating in Ontario Craft Beer Week, however, Ontario Craft Brewers (OCB) Association has more than 50+ members dedicated to creating great tasting porters, bocks, stouts, ales, pilsners and lagers, right here in Ontario. They rely on local ingredients such as barley and hops, organic ingredients as well as new flavours and styles utilizing local fruits, vegetables, spices and maple syrup. In the coming weeks, take the time to try some of the 450 premium beers crafted by OCB members!
