History & Profile of Market:

The Withrow Park Farmers' Market is located in Riverdale's beautiful Withrow Park, surrounded by single family homes, and near the vibrant Greektown on the Danforth. The market sprouted out of an urge to offer more opportunities to local organic Ontario farmers to sell their product directly to eaters, a desire to create community through food, and to reconnect the taste buds with the flavour of the seasons. The market is coordinated by a group of volunteers, most of whom reside in the neighbourhood.
